Micah obtained a Master’s of Popular Music Studies from the University of Glasgow in 2014 and has integrated a Christian perspective towards cultural discernment, drawing on the works Dr. Al Wolters (Creation Regained) and Andy Crouch (Culture Making). His theoretical thinking is also grounded in his experience as a musician, concert promoter, DJ, radio-show host, music reviewer, and sound technician.

During his studies in Scotland, Micah studied what motivates musicians to perform live, looking at both economic and non-economic factors, noting that these factors often compete with each other within a musician or among band members.

Micah’s career goals are to help musicians connect with audiences in a sustainable way as well as helping audiences understand the music with which they are bombarded, and find music that has a meaningful impact.
